Handcrafted in Chennai from one of India's oldest cloth merchants - who Saffron Darby used to work with in her capacity as Snr. designer at Toast. Soft to the touch but incredibly hardwearing and absorbent, whether they are used to mop one’s brow or stem a flow, the handkerchief is the quintessential accoutrement that no Gentleman should be without.
ORIGIN
Like my forefathers, I have always considered the handkerchief an essential piece of kit and the carrying of one dignified. Having tired of plain-white monikered designs and also the plain silly, I was thrilled to receive my first madras check handkerchief (since childhood) from Saffron Darby one Christmas - the rest is history.
