Using a classic menswear block, we have created a unique pattern and made a woman’s peacoat taking into consideration the balance and proportions which are synonymous with this cropped sailors jacket.

We have also paid attention to the finer details such as the half-belt at the small of the back and the hand warmer pockets.

The cloth would have historically been peacoating, a felted wool which kept sailors dry and warm. Saffron Darby has plumped for a Melton cloth from Abraham Moon & Sons.
