Synonymous with 1950's and 1960's Americana, seersucker was to the Summer wardrobe what the Brooks Brothers button-down shirt was to the preppy and the Yale jacket to the collegiate!
Regularly making appearances on the catwalk, though what is key as with all tailored garments, is to ensure that the colour you choose likes you as much as you like it.
Seersucker is produced in various patterns ranging from plain to gingham check, and also a very fine stripe and comes in a range of colours. There are also various weights and handles to consider which is best for your chosen application.
Sourced from Holland & Sherry, one of the world's most prestigious cloth weavers, our 80z poly/cotton seersucker is a deep blue and white gingham check, with fantastic drape and shape retaining capabilities. Established in 1836, Holland & Sherry are suppliers of some of the finest cloths on the market and garments fashioned from any of their cloths would be considered a serious investment.
This addition to our Custom Collection is fashioned in the style of a traditional blazer. Comprising three patch pockets; one on the breast and two on the hips, which we like to refer to as 'Pint Pockets' as each hip pocket can carry a pint of one's preferred ale! Also featuring a contemporary notched lapel, a double vent to prevent creasing and fully functional four-button surgeon's cuff.
Available in your choice of seersucker, whether check or stripe and your choice of lining - both full and half-lined finishes are available to reduce heat and weight. With a choice of mock horn or corozo buttons, the jacket is fully customisable like our other Custom Collection jackets.
More timeless perhaps than the British Summer our Custom Collection seersucker jacket makes for a great staple in your holibobs wardrobe!
