"We have founded Brown in Town to meet the needs of the modern gentleman. We would be delighted to discuss your sartorial requirements with you over coffee or tea at our studio on Colston St. beneath Bangshanky, or over a gin & tonic at our spiritual home of Hotel du Vin, Narrow Lewins Mead, or at our London outpost at The Hoxton Hotel, Shoreditch".
For fittings and to view our full atelier, we invite you to join us at our premises in the basement of Bristol barbers, Bangshanky;

There are more than a few parallels one can draw between a tailor and a barber, not least the nature of their artisanal craft. But in the same way my customers find solace in being able to discuss matters of the cloth, so do I feel perfectly relaxed and at home in the chair of my barber. It is to this end that Brown in Town have made the basement - where else - of Bangshanky barbers it's new home.
We invite you to make an appointment to come and view our full atelier of ties, pocket squares handkerchiefs and umbrellas, from Fox Umbrellas, while enjoying some damn fine coffee. Feel free to book an appointment with Bangshanky's finest while you are here and make no. 76 Colston St. a one stop destination for all your sartorial and coiffuring needs.
Given my personal affinity with barbers and the atmosphere and service provided by a barbers shop, it will come as no surprise that I am delighted to make Bangshanky our home.

Just up the historical Christmas Steps from Hotel du Vin, in rather Dickensian part of town known as the Colston Quarter, you will find Bangshanky (on the former site of Mack Daddy's). Catering to the coiffured tastes of an eclectic audience, you find everything from the traditional hot towel shave - performed in a traditional barbers chair, no less - to fully restored record players and gramophones, replete with a diverse collection of vinyl for your listening pleasure.
Bangshanky opened their doors on the same day as Brown in Town, in January 2014 and we share more than just our birthday in common; a penchant for antiquities - in addition to his collection of fully operational record players, Neil has a fine collection of carpenters tool chests - we also share a desire to provide good old fashioned customer service.
If you would like to make an appointment to discuss your sartorial requirements, whether it be wedding suit, business or lounge suit, sports jackets, slacks, overcoats or shirts, then please feel free to get in touch by mail or by phone. And if you are fortunate enough to be having your hair cut at Bangshanky, or are staying with Hotel du Vin, or are planning on having your wedding there and would like to meet, please let me know which dates and times are convenient.
Following the success of our inaugural return to the big smoke, you can also find Bristol's local tailor at The Hoxton Hotel on a regular basis. Those wishing to discuss their sartorial requirements please contact us to arrange an appointment.hoxtonhotels
